          vow of Romulus;  the palace of Numa; the temple of Vesta cum
          Penatibus populi Romani.   He  then  deplores  the  opes tot
          victoriis quaesitae et Graecarum artium decora . . . . multa
          quae seniores meminerant,  quae  reparari nequibant, (Annal.
          xv. 40, 41.)]
