MPENITENCE

LEV 26:21 And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will

bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.

DEU 29:19 And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he

bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the

imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:

DEU 29:20 The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his

jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in

this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under

heaven.

DEU 29:21 And the LORD shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of

Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this

book of the law:

1SA 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as

iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath

also rejected thee from being king.

JOB 9:2 I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?

JOB 9:4 He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself

against him, and hath prospered?

JOB 24:13 They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the

ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.

JOB 33:14 For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.

PSA 7:11 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

PSA 7:12 If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made

it ready.

PSA 10:3 For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the

covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth.

PSA 32:9 Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding:

whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.

PSA 50:17 Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.

PSA 50:21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that

I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them

in order before thine eyes.

PSA 52:1 Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of

God endureth continually.

PSA 52:7 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the

abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

PSA 58:3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they

be born, speaking lies.

PSA 58:4 Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf

adder that stoppeth her ear;

PSA 58:5 Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so

wisely.

PSA 68:21 But God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of

such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses.

PSA 78:8 And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious

generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was

not stedfast with God.

PSA 81:11 But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of

me.

PSA 81:12 So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in

their own counsels.

PSA 82:5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness:

all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

PSA 95:8 Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of

temptation in the wilderness:

PSA 106:24 Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not his word:

PSA 106:25 But murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice of the

LORD.

PSA 107:11 Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the

counsel of the most High:

PSA 107:12 Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down,

and there was none to help.

PRO 1:24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand,

and no man regarded;

PRO 1:25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my

reproof:

PRO 1:26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;

PRO 1:27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a

whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.

PRO 1:28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek

me early, but they shall not find me:

PRO 1:29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the

LORD:

PRO 1:30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.

PRO 11:3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of

transgressors shall destroy them.

PRO 15:10 Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that

hateth reproof shall die.

PRO 19:16 He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that

despiseth his ways shall die.

PRO 21:29 A wicked man hardeneth his face: but as for the upright, he directeth

his way.

PRO 26:11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.

PRO 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and

forsaketh them shall have mercy.

PRO 29:1 He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be

destroyed, and that without remedy.

ECC 8:11 Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily,

therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

ECC 8:13 But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his

days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.

ISA 26:10 Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn

righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not

behold the majesty of the LORD.

ISA 28:12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to

rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

ISA 32:9 Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless

daughters; give ear unto my speech.

ISA 32:10 Many days and years shall ye be troubled, ye careless women: for the

vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come.

ISA 32:11 Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones:

strip you, and make you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins.

ISA 42:22 But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared

in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none

delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.

ISA 42:23 Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for

the time to come?

ISA 42:24 Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the

LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways,

neither were they obedient unto his law.

ISA 42:25 Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the

strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not;

and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart.

ISA 46:12 Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness:

ISA 48:4 Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew,

and thy brow brass;

ISA 48:8 Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from that time

that thine ear was not opened: for I knew that thou wouldest deal very

treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.

ISA 57:11 And of whom hast thou been afraid or feared, that thou hast lied, and

hast not remembered me, nor laid it to thy heart? have not I held my peace even

of old, and thou fearest me not?

ISA 65:12 Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down

to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did

not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted

not.

JER 3:10 And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not turned unto

me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the LORD.

JER 5:21 Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have

eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:

JER 5:22 Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence,

which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that

it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they

not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

JER 5:23 But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are

revolted and gone.

JER 5:24 Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God,

that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth

unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

JER 6:10 To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold,

their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the

LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.

JER 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the

old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for

your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

JER 6:17 Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the

trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.

JER 6:19 Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the

fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to

my law, but rejected it.

JER 7:13 And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the LORD, and I

spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called

you, but ye answered not;

JER 7:14 Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name,

wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as

I have done to Shiloh.

JER 7:24 But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the

counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not

forward.

JER 7:28 But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the

voice of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is

cut off from their mouth.

JER 8:5 Why then is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual

backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.

JER 8:6 I hearkened and heard, but they spake not aright: no man repented him

of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his course, as

the horse rusheth into the battle.

JER 8:7 Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the

turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my

people know not the judgment of the LORD.

JER 8:20 The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.

JER 12:11 They have made it desolate, and being desolate it mourneth unto me;

the whole land is made desolate, because no man layeth it to heart.

JER 13:17 But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for

your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the

LORD'S flock is carried away captive.

JER 13:27 I have seen thine adulteries, and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy

whoredom, and thine abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe unto thee, O

Jerusalem! wilt thou not be made clean? when shall it once be?

JER 14:10 Thus saith the LORD unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander,

they have not refrained their feet, therefore the LORD doth not accept them; he

will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.

JER 15:6 Thou hast forsaken me, saith the LORD, thou art gone backward:

therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary

with repenting.

JER 15:7 And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will

bereave them of children, I will destroy my people since they return not from

their ways.

JER 16:12 And ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every

one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me:

JER 17:23 But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck

stiff, that they might not hear, nor receive instruction.

JER 18:12 And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own

devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart.

JER 22:21 I spake unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou saidst, I will not

hear. This hath been thy manner from thy youth, that thou obeyedst not my voice.

JER 29:19 Because they have not hearkened to my words, saith the LORD, which I

sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them;

but ye would not hear, saith the LORD.

JER 44:10 They are not humbled even unto this day, neither have they feared,

nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your

fathers.

JER 44:16 As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the

LORD, we will not hearken unto thee.

JER 44:17 But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own

mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings

unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in

the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of

victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.

EZE 2:5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for

they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet

among them.

EZE 3:5 For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard

language, but to the house of Israel;

EZE 3:6 Not to many people of a strange speech and of an hard language, whose

words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them, they would

have hearkened unto thee.

EZE 3:7 But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not

hearken unto me: for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted.

EZE 3:19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor

from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy

soul.

EZE 3:26 And I will make thy tongue cleave to the roof of thy mouth, that thou

shalt be dumb, and shalt not be to them a reprover: for they are a rebellious

house.

EZE 12:2 Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which

have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they

are a rebellious house.

EZE 20:8 But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken unto me: they did

not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake

the idols of Egypt: then I said, I will pour out my fury upon them, to

accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.

EZE 20:13 But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they

walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he

shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I

would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.

EZE 20:21 Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in

my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall

even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my

fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.

EZE 33:4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not

warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own

head.

DAN 9:13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us:

yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our

iniquities, and understand thy truth.

HOS 4:17 Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone.

HOS 5:4 They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit

of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD.

HOS 7:13 Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them!

because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they

have spoken lies against me.

HOS 7:15 Though I have bound and strengthened their arms, yet do they imagine

mischief against me.

HOS 11:2 As they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto

Baalim, and burned incense to graven images.

HOS 11:7 And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called them

to the most High, none at all would exalt him.

ZEC 7:11 But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped

their ears, that they should not hear.

ZEC 7:12 Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear

the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the

former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.

ZEC 7:13 Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not

hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the LORD of hosts:

MAL 2:2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory

unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I

will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not

lay it to heart.

MAL 2:17 Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we

wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the

LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?

MAT 11:16 But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children

sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,

MAT 11:17 And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have

mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.

MAT 11:18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a

devil.

MAT 11:19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man

gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is

justified of her children.

MAT 11:20 Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works

were done, because they repented not:

MAT 11:21 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty

works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have

repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

MAT 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of

hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with

their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and

should be converted, and I should heal them.

MAT 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest

them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children

together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would

not!

MAT 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and

drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into

the ark,

MAT 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall

also the coming of the Son of man be.

MAT 24:48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth

his coming;

MAT 24:49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink

with the drunken;

MAT 24:50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for

him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

MAT 24:51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the

hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

MAT 27:4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And

they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.

MAR 3:5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved

for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine

hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

LUK 13:1 There were present at that season some that told him of the

Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.

LUK 13:2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans

were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?

LUK 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

LUK 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets,

neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

ACT 7:51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always

resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

ROM 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and

longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

ROM 2:5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself

wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

2CO 12:21 And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and

that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the

uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.

HEB 3:8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation

in the wilderness:

HEB 12:17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the

blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought

it carefully with tears.

REV 2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the

first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy

candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

REV 2:16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against

them with the sword of my mouth.

REV 2:21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented

not.

REV 2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with

her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

REV 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and

repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and

thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

REV 9:20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet

repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils,

and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither

can see, nor hear, nor walk:

REV 9:21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of

their fornication, nor of their thefts.

REV 16:9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God,

which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

REV 16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about

the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the

hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
