GEN 26:15 For all the wells which his father's servants had digged in the days

of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with

GEN 26:16 And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier

than we.

GEN 26:17 And Isaac departed thence, and pitched his tent in the valley of

Gerar, and dwelt there.

GEN 26:18 And Isaac digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in

the days of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the

death of Abraham: and he called their names after the names by which his father

had called them.

GEN 26:19 And Isaac's servants digged in the valley, and found there a well of

springing water.

GEN 26:20 And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac's herdmen, saying, The

water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with

GEN 26:21 And they digged another well, and strove for that also: and he called

the name of it Sitnah.

GEN 26:22 And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that

they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the

LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.

EXO 16:7 And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the LORD; for that

he heareth your murmurings against the LORD: and what are we, that ye murmur

against us?

EXO 16:8 And Moses said, This shall be, when the LORD shall give you in the

evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the LORD

heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your

murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD.

JOB 1:21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I

return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name

of the LORD.

PSA 37:7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because

of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices

to pass.

PSA 37:8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to

do evil.

PSA 37:9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD,

they shall inherit the earth.

PSA 40:1 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my

PRO 15:18 A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger

appeaseth strife.

ECC 7:8 Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the

patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.

LAM 3:26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the

salvation of the LORD.

LAM 3:27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke of his youth.

LUK 2:25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and

the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the

Holy Ghost was upon him.

LUK 8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good

heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

LUK 21:19 In your patience possess ye your souls.

ROM 2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and

honour and immortality, eternal life:

ROM 5:3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that

tribulation worketh patience;

ROM 5:4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

ROM 8:25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for

ROM 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in

ROM 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our

learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have

ROM 15:5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one

toward another according to Christ Jesus:

1CO 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity

vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

1CO 13:5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily

provoked, thinketh no evil;

2CO 6:4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much

patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

2CO 6:5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in

2CO 6:6 By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy

Ghost, by love unfeigned,

2CO 12:12 Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience,

in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.

GAL 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap,

if we faint not.

EPH 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy

of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

EPH 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one

another in love;

COL 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being

fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

COL 1:11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all

patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

COL 3:12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of

mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

COL 3:13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a

quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

1TH 1:3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and

patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

1TH 5:14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the

feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

2TH 1:4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your

patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:

2TH 3:5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the

patient waiting for Christ.

1TI 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant,

sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

1TI 3:3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient,

not a brawler, not covetous;

1TI 6:11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after

righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

2TI 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all

men, apt to teach, patient,

2TI 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God

peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

2TI 3:10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith,

longsuffering, charity, patience,

TIT 2:1 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

TIT 2:2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in

charity, in patience.

TIT 2:9 Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please

them well in all things; not answering again;

HEB 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and

patience inherit the promises.

HEB 6:15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

HEB 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of

God, ye might receive the promise.

HEB 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of

witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset

us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

JAM 1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

JAM 1:4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and

entire, wanting nothing.

JAM 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow

to speak, slow to wrath:

JAM 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold,

the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long

patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

JAM 5:8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord

draweth nigh.

JAM 5:10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the

Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.

JAM 5:11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the

patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very

pitiful, and of tender mercy.

1PE 2:19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure

grief, suffering wrongfully.

1PE 2:20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye

shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it

patiently, this is acceptable with God.

1PE 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us,

leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

1PE 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

1PE 2:23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he

threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

2PE 1:5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to

virtue knowledge;

2PE 1:6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to

patience godliness;

REV 1:9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in

the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos,

for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

REV 2:2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst

not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are

apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:

REV 2:3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast

laboured, and hast not fainted.

REV 2:19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy

patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

REV 13:10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that

killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and

the faith of the saints.

REV 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the

commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
