EXO 18:10 And Jethro said, Blessed be the LORD, who hath delivered you out of

the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of Pharaoh, who hath delivered

DEU 8:17 And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath

DEU 8:18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth

1SA 2:3 Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your

1SA 2:4 The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are

1SA 2:5 They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that

2SA 17:23 And when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled

his ass, and arose, and gat him home to his house, to his city, and put his

sepulchre of his father.

1KI 20:11 And the king of Israel answered and said, Tell him, Let not him that

2KI 5:11 But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He

will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God,

and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.

2KI 5:12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the

2KI 5:13 And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father,

if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it?

how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?

2KI 14:9 And Jehoash the king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying,

The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying,

Give thy daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wild beast that was

in Lebanon, and trode down the thistle.

2KI 14:10 Thou hast indeed smitten Edom, and thine heart hath lifted thee up:

glory of this, and tarry at home: for why shouldest thou meddle to thy hurt,

that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee?

2KI 20:13 And Hezekiah hearkened unto them, and shewed them all the house of

his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious

Hezekiah shewed them not.

2CH 26:16 But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction:

for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the

2CH 26:17 And Azariah the priest went in after him, and with him fourscore

priests of the LORD, that were valiant men:

2CH 26:18 And they withstood Uzziah the king, and said unto him, It

appertaineth not unto thee, Uzziah, to burn incense unto the LORD, but to the

priests the sons of Aaron, that are consecrated to burn incense: go out of the

sanctuary; for thou hast trespassed; neither shall it be for thine honour from

the LORD God.

2CH 26:19 Then Uzziah was wroth, and had a censer in his hand to burn incense:

and while he was wroth with the priests, the leprosy even rose up in his

had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king.

EST 5:13 Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew

sitting at the king's gate.

EST 6:6 So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto

the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To

whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?

EST 7:10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai.

Then was the king's wrath pacified.

the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help

HOS 5:5 And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall

Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity: Judah also shall fall with them.

HOS 10:11 And Ephraim is as an heifer that is taught, and loveth to tread out

the corn; but I passed over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to ride;

Judah shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods.

OBA 1:3 The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the

clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall

bring me down to the ground?

OBA 1:4 Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest

among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD.

NAH 3:19 There is no healing of thy bruise; thy wound is grievous: all that

hear the bruit of thee shall clap the hands over thee: for upon whom hath not

thy wickedness passed continually?

HAB 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just

shall live by his faith.

HAB 2:5 Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither

keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot

be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all

HAB 2:9 Woe to him that coveteth an evil covetousness to his house, that he may

set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil!

ZEP 2:10 This shall they have for their pride, because they have reproached and

magnified themselves against the people of the LORD of hosts.

ZEP 2:15 This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her

heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a

place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and

wag his hand.

ZEP 3:11 In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou

hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee

them that rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my

holy mountain.

MAL 4:1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the

proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh

shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither

root nor branch.

MAT 23:7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

MAT 23:8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and

all ye are brethren.

MAT 23:10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

MAT 23:11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

MAT 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall

humble himself shall be exalted.

MAR 7:21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts,

adulteries, fornications, murders,

MAR 7:22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye,

blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

MAR 12:38 And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which

love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces,

MAR 12:39 And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at

LUK 1:51 He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in

the imagination of their hearts.

LUK 1:52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low

LUK 11:43 Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the

synagogues, and greetings in the markets.

LUK 14:8 When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the

highest room; lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him;

LUK 14:9 And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man

place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.

LUK 20:46 Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love

greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief

rooms at feasts;

ROM 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

ROM 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness,

covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity;

ROM 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of

evil things, disobedient to parents,

ROM 11:17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild

olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and

fatness of the olive tree;

ROM 11:18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not

the root, but the root thee.

ROM 11:19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be

graffed in.

ROM 11:20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by

faith. Be not highminded, but fear:

ROM 11:21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also

spare not thee.

ROM 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this

mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is

happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

ROM 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among

you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think

soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

ROM 12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but

condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

1CO 1:29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

1CO 3:18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in

this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

1CO 4:6 And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself

and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men

above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against

1CO 4:7 For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that

thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if

thou hadst not received it?

1CO 4:8 Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us:

and I would to God ye did reign, that we also might reign with you.

1CO 4:10 We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are

weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised.

1CO 5:2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath

done this deed might be taken away from among you.

1CO 5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth

the whole lump?

1CO 8:1 Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have

knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.

1CO 8:2 And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet

as he ought to know.

1CO 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

1CO 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity

vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

1CO 14:38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.

2CO 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself

against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the

obedience of Christ;

2CO 10:12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves

with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves,

and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

2CO 10:18 For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord

2CO 12:7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of

the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of

Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

GAL 6:3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he

deceiveth himself.

EPH 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk

not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

PHI 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of

mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

1TI 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel,

with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or

costly array;

1TI 3:6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the

condemnation of the devil.

1TI 6:3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even

the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to

1TI 6:4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of

words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

1TI 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded,

nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all

things to enjoy;

2TI 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud,

blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

2TI 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of

JAM 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the

greater condemnation.

JAM 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud,

but giveth grace unto the humble.

1JO 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of

the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

REV 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have

need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and

poor, and blind, and naked:

REV 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest

be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of

thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou

mayest see.

REV 18:7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much

torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am

no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

REV 18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and

famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God

who judgeth her.
