GEN 35:1 And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and

make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from

the face of Esau thy brother.

GEN 35:2 Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put

away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your

garments:

GEN 35:3 And let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar

unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way

which I went.

EXO 3:5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet,

for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

EXO 3:6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the

God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to

look upon God.

EXO 5:1 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the

LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the

wilderness.

EXO 15:2 The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is

my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt

him.

EXO 19:10 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them

to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes,

EXO 19:11 And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will

come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.

EXO 19:12 And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take

heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it:

whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death:

EXO 19:13 There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or

shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet

soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount.

EXO 19:21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they

break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish.

EXO 19:22 And let the priests also, which come near to the LORD, sanctify

themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them.

EXO 19:23 And Moses said unto the LORD, The people cannot come up to mount

Sinai: for thou chargedst us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify

it.

EXO 19:24 And the LORD said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come

up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break

through to come up unto the LORD, lest he break forth upon them.

EXO 20:24 An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice

thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen:

in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless

thee.

EXO 20:25 And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it

of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.

EXO 23:17 Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord

GOD.

EXO 23:18 Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread;

neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning.

EXO 24:1 And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the LORD, thou, and Aaron, Nadab,

and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off.

EXO 24:2 And Moses alone shall come near the LORD: but they shall not come

nigh; neither shall the people go up with him.

EXO 25:8 And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.

EXO 25:22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from

above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of

the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the

children of Israel.

EXO 28:34 A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate,

upon the hem of the robe round about.

EXO 28:35 And it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard

when he goeth in unto the holy place before the LORD, and when he cometh out,

that he die not.

EXO 29:43 And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle

shall be sanctified by my glory.

EXO 30:19 For Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet thereat:

EXO 30:20 When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash

with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister,

to burn offering made by fire unto the LORD:

EXO 30:21 So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and

it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout

their generations.

EXO 34:8 And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and

worshipped.

LEV 10:3 Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I

will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will

be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.

LEV 16:2 And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he

come not at all times into the holy place within the vail before the mercy seat,

which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the

mercy seat.

DEU 12:5 But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all

your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and

thither thou shalt come:

cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you;

your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering

of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD:

DEU 12:12 And ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God, ye, and your sons, and

your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite that

is within your gates; forasmuch as he hath no part nor inheritance with you.

DEU 16:6 But at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name

in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the

sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt.

DEU 16:7 And thou shalt roast and eat it in the place which the LORD thy God

shall choose: and thou shalt turn in the morning, and go unto thy tents.

DEU 16:8 Six days thou shalt eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day shall

be a solemn assembly to the LORD thy God: thou shalt do no work therein.

DEU 31:11 When all Israel is come to appear before the LORD thy God in the

place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their

hearing.

DEU 31:12 Gather the people together, men and women, and children, and thy

stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn,

and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law:

DEU 31:13 And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear,

and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye

go over Jordan to possess it.

DEU 33:19 They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer

sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas,

and of treasures hid in the sand.

2KI 17:36 But the LORD, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great

EZR 3:10 And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD,

ancient men, that had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house

was laid before their eyes, wept with a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for

joy:

EZR 3:13 So that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy

from the noise of the weeping of the people: for the people shouted with a loud

shout, and the noise was heard afar off.

NEH 10:39 For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the

offering of the corn, of the new wine, and the oil, unto the chambers, where are

the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the porters,

and the singers: and we will not forsake the house of our God.

PSA 5:7 But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy

mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

PSA 22:22 I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the

congregation will I praise thee.

PSA 24:3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his

holy place?

PSA 24:4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his

PSA 26:7 That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy

PSA 26:8 LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where

thine honour dwelleth.

PSA 27:4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I

may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty

of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.

PSA 29:2 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in

the beauty of holiness.

PSA 35:18 I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee

among much people.

PSA 36:8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and

thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

PSA 42:4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone

with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy

and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.

PSA 45:11 So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and

worship thou him.

PSA 48:9 We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy

temple.

PSA 51:19 Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with

burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon

thine altar.

PSA 55:14 We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in

company.

PSA 63:1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for

thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

sanctuary.

PSA 65:4 Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto

thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness

of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

PSA 66:4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall

PSA 66:13 I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my

vows,

PSA 66:14 Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in

trouble.

PSA 76:11 Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him

bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.

PSA 77:13 Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our

God?

PSA 84:1 How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!

PSA 84:2 My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my

heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

PSA 84:3 Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for

herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my

King, and my God.

PSA 84:4 Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising

thee. Selah.

PSA 84:10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a

doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

PSA 89:7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be

had in reverence of all them that are about him.

PSA 92:13 Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the

courts of our God.

PSA 93:5 Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD,

for ever.

PSA 95:6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our

maker.

PSA 96:8 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and

come into his courts.

PSA 96:9 O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the

earth.

PSA 97:7 Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves

PSA 98:2 The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he

openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.

PSA 98:3 He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel:

all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

PSA 99:5 Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is

holy.

PSA 100:1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.

PSA 100:2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

PSA 100:3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not

we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

PSA 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with

praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

PSA 103:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy

name.

PSA 103:2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

PSA 103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

PSA 103:4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with

lovingkindness and tender mercies;

PSA 107:6 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them

out of their distresses.

PSA 107:7 And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city

of habitation.

PSA 107:8 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his

wonderful works to the children of men!

PSA 107:32 Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and

praise him in the assembly of the elders.

PSA 116:12 What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?

LORD.

ECC 5:1 Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to

hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do

evil.

ECC 5:2 Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter

any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let

thy words be few.

ISA 1:11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the

LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I

delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.

ISA 1:12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand,

to tread my courts?

ISA 1:13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the

new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is

iniquity, even the solemn meeting.

ISA 1:14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a

trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.

ISA 1:15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you:

yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

ISA 2:3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the

mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of

his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law,

and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

ISA 4:5 And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and

upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire

by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.

ISA 12:5 Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known

in all the earth.

ISA 12:6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One

of Israel in the midst of thee.

ISA 25:9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited

for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will

be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

ISA 29:13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with

their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far

from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

ISA 29:14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this

people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men

shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

ISA 29:15 Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and

their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?

ISA 29:16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the

potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or

shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?

ISA 30:29 Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept;

and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain

of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel.

ISA 38:20 The LORD was ready to save me: therefore we will sing my songs to the

stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of the LORD.

ISA 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they

shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they

shall walk, and not faint.

ISA 43:22 But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary

of me, O Israel.

ISA 43:23 Thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt offerings;

neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to

serve with an offering, nor wearied thee with incense.

ISA 43:24 Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou

filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with

thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.

ISA 49:13 Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into

singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have

mercy upon his afflicted.

ISA 52:9 Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for

the LORD hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.

ISA 56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to

serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that

keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

ISA 56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my

house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted

upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all

people.

ISA 66:1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my

footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of

my rest?

ISA 66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have

been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and

of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

JER 31:11 For the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of

him that was stronger than he.

JER 31:12 Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall

flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil,

and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a

watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.

EZE 22:8 Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths.

HOS 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more

than burnt offerings.

JOE 1:14 Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all

the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto

the LORD,

JOE 1:15 Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a

destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

JOE 2:17 Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and

the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine

heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should

they say among the people, Where is their God?

AMO 5:21 I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn

assemblies.

AMO 5:22 Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not

accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.

AMO 5:23 Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the

melody of thy viols.

AMO 5:24 But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty

stream.

NAH 1:15 Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings,

that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for

the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.

HAB 2:20 But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence

ZEP 3:18 I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are

of thee, to whom the reproach of it was a burden.

the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them

shall be no rain.

ZEC 14:18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no

rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that

come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

MAL 3:3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall

purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer

unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

MAL 3:4 Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the

LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.

MAT 8:4 And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew

thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony

unto them.

MAT 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as

touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father

which is in heaven.

MAT 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I

in the midst of them.

LUK 4:8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it

is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

JOH 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall

worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to

worship him.

JOH 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit

and in truth.

1CO 14:16 Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that

occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he

understandeth not what thou sayest?

1CO 14:17 For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified.

PHI 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and

rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments

are made manifest.

REV 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou

do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony

of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
